Long journey, for days available and length of the route, in the end there will be more than 4,000 kilometers traveled only in Africa. “The farthest land where the sun sets” confirmed expectations, with a surprising, sometimes shocking variety of landscapes, arousing comparisons in participants with other geographical areas on distant continents. But beyond the comparisons, which are irrelevant in these cases, Morocco can be considered an extreme country, a mini continent, due to the multiple situations, geographical, ethnic and road conditions and above all this time, if we haven't met them all, we have came very close……..there were some passages, where roads that should have been asphalted disappeared due to lack of maintenance or exhausting consolidation works. But this exhausting search for off-the-beaten-track paths allowed us to drive on cliffs overlooking the ocean, arrive at forgotten ports where we can eat lobsters while sitting on the beach, desert plateaus, valleys dotted with impregnable fortresses, the desert that borders the Algerian border, the medium Atlas on practically perfect roads. Until a few years ago, all of them were dirt roads that were almost impassable, but the situation is destined to improve further and in my humble opinion it doesn't take much. Last consideration, the hospitality of the people, a surprise for those who are experiencing these places for the first time, making it normal to reciprocate the austere greetings of the elderly or the smiles of the children. Goodbye “Far away land”!!
