The intentions for September were to go to Dalmatia, starting from Albania and then going as far as the Austrian Alps, but the health emergency forced a quick change of plans. Southern Italy, the alternative destination. We start from the Adriatic coast, from one of our favorite “trabocchi” (wooden structures suspended in the sea used as restaurants), we enter Molise, to then penetrate the Gargano peninsula and then attempt a fascinating crossing of the southernmost part of the peninsula, on forgotten roads, often in bad condition, but suggestive for the quality of the views and variety of roads. The final destination is the park of Cilento and Vallo di Diano, with its spectacular coastal roads and the interior that has nothing to envy to much more renowned and famous mountain landscapes!! What to say?? A decidedly alternative proposal, in these uncertain times.
