The Cloud Huntersthe Western Alps

This time the cloud chasers have outdone themselves. An unexpected but stimulating meteorological variability accompanied the 4 days along some of the highest roads in Europe. Stimulating because it was possible to travel in all the climatic conditions that can occur in the mountains and high mountains. It started with rain, then the sun dominated the scene, with clear skies with clouds galloping freely towards the horizon, only to take a short break on the last day with a light snowfall at high altitude which gave to the climb of the Little San Bernardo a mysterious, unreal aura. But even the climb of the Col de la Bonette, with the clouds crashing into the mountains, opening up lunar scenarios, was a sight difficult to forget. The usual gastronomy which culminated with the first evening in the land of Barolo and truffles and the finale in one of our favorite restaurants did the rest.
